 A Great CD July 28, 2006
I felt that I just had to share with those people who like myself love this type of music.Matthew Fords CD gave me so much pleasure,it was truly wonderful to listen to.The depth and the range of Matthews voice is a sound not heard very often.I have,on many occasions seen Matthew sing live and can honestly say that this CD is a true reflection of the talent that this man has been gifted with.A mention must be made also to the superb backing and recording which was of course very good.

I saw Matt performing live and had to buy his album. What a fabulous mix of great songs! I love the contrast between the two halves of the album - swing and jazz, followed by beautiful and mellow. 'Oblivion' is one of my favourite tracks - leaving me totally relaxed. Wow!

What a delight to play this CD, and listen to the fine voice of
Matthew Ford, and the excellent arrangements of James Pearson and Colin Skinner. Congratulations to Diving Duck Records for yet another well recorded and produced CD. I look forward to more.

Having read that one purchaser of this CD was disappointed, I felt that I just had to write my review of Matthew Ford's latest CD. I think it is fabulous! Ever since I first heard Matthew sing a few years ago, I have always thought that his voice was "perfect" for the Mat Monro song "The Impossible Dream" and his version on this CD proved me right! My other favourite song on the CD is "On Days Like These". So, here is one very happy punter!

A great, new, swing / easy listening singer has announced his arrival on the British scene with this excellent album. Matthew Ford's impeccable vocals impress throughout and the arrangements by Colin Skinner, James Pearson and Steve Bentley-Klein newly mint songs most swing / jazz fans will have at least a passing familiarity with. Sound production is excellent. This album has great attention to detail throughout from all the musicians involved and is worth of adding to any serious music collection. I look forward to Matthew's next release with great anticipation.
