| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review Even in the sensation-crazed world of experimental techno, quirkiness for its own sake is only a good thing the first few times you hear it. That's why the music Mike Paradinas makes as Mu-Ziq is such a joy: you're hearing a fertile, young mind bask in its own creativity, and there are also these weird little melodies going on, as well. Mu-Ziq records are rarely focused, which is at times a liability and at others a minor miracle. Royal Astronomy is the most user-friendly Mu-Ziq record to date, with lovely diva vocals and more textures and hooks than ever to accompany both the frenetic, sped-up drill-and-bass tracks and the mellow, loopy ones. Mu-Ziq's rhythmic experiments are coated in whimsy and tempered with lyricism. --Mike McGonigal

Quality Stuff September 17, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Making for easier listening than his previous albums, this offers a selection of all the styles of Mike Paradinas, while keeping with his very orchestrated and musical sound. The album flows well from one track to another, making the album a great piece of listening in its entirety. 'Carpet Muncher' has to be the highlight of the album for me, a happy bouncy drum 'n' bass concerto all condensed into under 3 minutes. Well worth the buy.
The most bizarre electronica of today November 10, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What an incredible album! Mixing various electronica elements like Big-beat, Drum 'n' Bass, Ambient, Trip-hop etc. making this incredible song. '56' is a track that meets Vangelis (Composer of Blade Runner) with trip hop creating this mad vibe. Definatly recommended purchase with those with an open mind
Best Album thus far this year November 8, 1999 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this album, while not as abstract as In pine effect and Lunatic harness (which are cool) this album is a corker and needs to be bought. All the tracks are great esp Hwicci song and Autumn Acid. The fear is a little too poppish but the rest is smart.
