What I liked about this DVD, was instead of the snakes being filmed and a running commentary in the background observing the snakes actions and behaviours,this shows a real man coming face to face with snakes in the wild. I found this so much more watchable, although about the King cobra he encounters and handles other snakes vipers, boas, pythons, cobra, sea snake etc giving a little information about the snakes. I found it helpful to actually see the snakes biting into a clear lid on a glass which clearly showed the biting action of the snake, the quantity of venom it realeased, whilst the fang came out it quickly replaced the missing fang. For less than 50 minutes this is packed with alot of encounters and information. I have to say I was completely taken back by the shear size of the King Cobra I just remember when I first saw the encounter my mouth was wide open and my heart racing thinking this guy is going to get bitten and that he was so brave. I had no idea just how big these snakes were, what I liked as well he dispelled the myth about these snakes being vicious, which can be a common belief amongst people who do not know alot about snakes. This man knows alot about snakes, he loves and respects them and thats what makes it so much more watchable and enjoyable because he is also so excited and enthusiastic. Look on Amazon for the triple pack, which includes this DVD, Sea Serpents and Rattlesnakes, the 3 DVD pack was priced for less than the single DVD's. Overall an unforgetable watch, and we have watched it 3 times, 1st time I watched it I needed recovery time due to the almost disbelief at the magnificence of this snake and the courage of Austin Stevens. I cannot imagine anyone regretting buying and watching this.
