Editorial Reviews:
Product Description A T-Ring couples your 35mm camera body to a T-Adapter, Radial Guider or Tele-Extender. This accessory is required if you want to do any type of photography through a telescope or spotting scope. Each camera manufacturer has a different mount, which requires a specific T-Ring, so Celestron offers a full line of T-Rings.

I use this T-adaptor with the Celestron Ultima 100 and a Canon 30D. I managed to fit it and use it in the dark with little or no problem to do moon shots. The images produced so far are not as clear as I would like so I think a little more practice is required. The adaptor ofcourse does not have any electrical connections so it can't be used to control automatic lenses. In my case, the scope is the lens so this is not important. The focussing and image enlargment is done with the scope. I know of other scopes which need a further 150 of lens components to be able to do the same task, so this combination is very good. The fitting/connection is very sturdy so I have no worries that the camera will drop off the adaptor connected to the scope (but I do keep the strap around my neck as a precaution). I only give this 4 stars even though it seems to do the job perfectly because there are no words of advice/reccomendation or how to use it for best effect with your camera to prevent damage to the camera/scope/adaptor. A good, extra piece of kit. The combination is a bit heavy (even without the tripod) for quick shots at birdwatching but that will be my next task.
