Easy to Use and Good Quality Images February 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this for my Mother and was really pleased. The picture quality is good (you have to look really close to see pixels) and it was easy to set up. We loaded up images onto an SD card, stuck it in the slot and turned the frame on. I would recomend this especially for those who aren't technological whizzes as the basics are easy and our digital photos looked fab. Not sure about the more advanced functionality as we haven't used it.
Disappointing February 6, 2008 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Thia picture frame has no internal memory, so you can only watch your current pictures This write up does not reflect this, and I wasted a long time trying to sort it out, till I saw in small letters that the SV710 has no internal memory. Best pay a bit more if you want to download from your computer
Good but not perfect December 14, 2007 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Really good picture quality, very slightly pixelated but it all really depends on the quality of the picture you have taken, scanned pics dont tend to look too good, however pics from a digital camera look brilliant.
The lack of instructions makes putting videos onto the frame tricky (however somehow i managed to get some on by sheer luck).
I would definitely buy another one and have recommended this frame to several people.
Lack of information prevents informed choice November 19, 2007 51 out of 54 found this review helpful
I could find no mention of the actual image resolution (how sharp it is) but the product description says "Pictures and videos are brilliant and sharp on the widescreen LCD". I tried hard to find resolution data, even on the Kodak site, with no luck.
Turns out the picture quality is awful. It is very pixelated. My mobile phone has a far better resolution. I would say the pixels on the screen are about 1mm square. I can see the pixels from about 2ft away. Anything closer and it looks like an old arcade game image.
It is not clear if there is internal memory in this frame, there isn't.
The frame is nice, clean and modern looking.
The buttons on the back feel very cheap and more often than not do not respond when you press them. I don't think it is a fault, just badly designed. The remote control shelf on the back doesn't attach as the points are the wrong size.
You can buy a large high resolution monitor for 100 these days. There is no way such poor image quality is worth the 70 I regret paying for this. Surely picture quality should be the main concern of a frame designed to display pictures?
Easy to use November 14, 2007 32 out of 32 found this review helpful
Easy to use and works reliably. The resolution is only 480x270 so pixellation is visible. Timed switch-on/switch-off, transitions, and timed interval slide show from 3 sec to 1 hour but no random sequence slide show.
